Igor Bazdyrev, PhD | Founding Partner and Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Bazdyrev is a Founding Partner in Thought Engineering and has more than 18 years of experience in software technology and management.

Prior to joining Thought Engineering, he held the title of senior technology architect at Captaris, leading the company in Unified Communications. He served as CTO and Vice President at Infolio, - a Silicon Valley start-up. The XML Application Server developed at Infolio was nominated for Computerworld Honors in 2001. In the past, Dr. Bazdyrev worked as program manager of the Internet services and applications architecture group at Vadem, where he designed application protocols for the Web services division and introduced XML data management architecture for the Internet service.

Dr. Bazdyrev previously held various technology leading and research positions at Silicon Graphics, ParaGraph International, and Moscow Institute of Machines and Machine Tools, and founded Software Consulting Company. He received both his doctorate and master's degrees in computer science and electronic engineering from Moscow Institute of Electronic Machinery in Russia.
